Since changing our Genre from Dubstep to Rock we have since changed the artist we are going to be using for our music video, digipack and magazine article. We have now chosen to use a local band that go by the name of Raided By Waves formally known as JB3. The band are a three piece rock trio located in Harlow Essex and are made up of lead singer James Bennett (formally of Six Hour Sundown), drummer Charlie Caine and bassist Navid Asghari. A fellow student recommended we take a look at the band and after listening to some of their songs on soundcloud and doing some background research we all agreed that Raided By Waves would be a perfect artist choice.
Raided By Waves fit perfectly into the Genre of Rock and have been compared to artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters as well Nirvana and Linkin Park. I have added James the lead singer on Facebook and have messaged him our proposal.
In conclusion to this I believe by changing our chosen artist will have bettered our chances of keeping the continuity between song and performance and In doing so will be able to produce a more well rounded piece of coursework. Not only this but It also helps to create a video with meaning and a thoughtful narrative, again making for a more professional final product.
