As a group we have reached a decision in which we have decided to turn our backs on the Dubstep Genre and Instead switch to the Genre of Rock. There are a variety of reasons for doing this and these include the fact that we aren't able to have Modestep perform for us, while this is completely understandable, as a group we decided that we wanted the band who owns the song to perform it also for continuity reasons and so on. We also decided that although Dubstep Genre allowed us to be creative, we felt as if creating a video with a narrative and a video that had a sense of meaning would be extremely difficult.
As a result of this, we have since adopted Rock as our chosen Genre. We decided to choose this Genre as like Dubstep, each member of our group has an extended knowledge of Rock. As a group we also know a variety of bands within the Rock industry which will be helpful when choosing a new artist and song for our music video, digipack and magazine article.
I believe that by making this decision to change Genre's we are actually now giving ourselves a much better chance of creating a video that has a lot more meaning still using all our creative skills and In doing so enables us to gain higher marks.
